Tara is a Film Writer, Director, and International Production Manager with a BA in Film Studies from the University of Warwick (2016) and an MA in Directing from Met Film School, UK (2018). As a freelance filmmaker, she has developed a portfolio that includes films, adverts, music videos, and documentaries.
Her short film The Shadow of Cairo has been shown at more than twelve international film festivals, including Oscar-qualifying events such as Cinequest and the New York International Children’s Film Festival, where it was a finalist for the Jury Award for Best Short Film. Her latest short, Alone With You, premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Narrative Short before touring other festivals.
In Kuwait, Tara’s work has explored modern stories set against striking urban and desert landscapes. She enjoys collaborating with creative teams to bring projects to life that reflect Kuwait’s evolving identity and vibrant culture.
